SEND TUITION

At SBTutoring, I pride myself on creating a welcoming, inclusive environment where every student, regardless of learning preference or need, receives the personalised support they deserve. I understand that students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) are individuals first and foremost, and I tailor my approach to meet their unique needs, ensuring each student can achieve their full potential.

My commitment spans a broad range of needs, including students who are not in mainstream education and those who are in mainstream settings but require additional support. I work closely with students with a variety of complex SEN diagnoses, including those on the Autism Spectrum (ASC), PDA, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, and Dyspraxia. For each of these students, I develop their learning and take into account both their strengths and challenges, employing targeted strategies that foster confidence and independence.

I utilise a blend of structured routines, clear and supportive communication, and adaptive teaching methods. This allows me to respond effectively to each student’s needs—whether it’s breaking down tasks for a student with Dyslexia, incorporating sensory breaks for those with ASC or ADHD, or providing hands-on support for those with Dyspraxia or Dyscalculia.

I also place a strong emphasis on collaboration, working with families, specialists, schools or therapists to ensure my approach aligns with best practices and is consistent both in and out of the classroom.

I believe that inclusion means more than just support; it’s about creating an environment where every student feels valued, understood, and capable of success. Through my dedicated SEN support, I strive to make your child's tuition sessions a place where they will feel inspired and empowered to take control of their learning, leading to successes that they have curated.
